Chilkoot Horseback Adventure

On this excursion, we’ll saddle up our horses and set out into Skagway’s rustic backcountry! Riding through dense winding trails of the Valley of Dyea and lush ‘second-growth forests’ past Slide Cemetery our guide will tell us stories about the area’s history. After our horseback riding adventure comes to an end, we’ll enjoy refreshing drinks and smoked salmon at the hitching posts!

Soaring above the magnificent glaciers of Skagway we’ll get a bird’s eye view of jagged peaks over the Chilkat Glacier, cascading waterfalls surrounding the Ferebee Glacier and the marvelous ‘river of ice’ known as the Meade Glacier. At our landing site, we’ll have time to explore around one of the glaciers with our guide explaining the importance of these giant structures!
