Eagle Catamaran - St. Marteen

Ride aboard the “Golden Eagle”, a 76-foot, winged mast catamaran. Enjoy an open bar and light snacks while sailing at speeds up to 30 knots. Count the Flying fish or watch the dolphins while you lie in the nets or laze in the shade of the 80-foot sail. Stop at a quiet cove to snorkel in the crystal clear waters or bob around on a beach float. Explore caverns or dive through coral formations teeming with fish. Anchor off shore and swim to the beach or hop on a dinghy and ride the short distance. Stop on a fabulous pink sandy beach, one of the finest you will see in the Caribbean. Cruise downwind while listening to great music and enjoying cocktails and snacks.

Begin with a motorcoach drive through Castries, past the market and the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Enjoy a lovely panoramic view of the island at Morne Fortune. Travel down the West Coast through Cul de Sac Valley and the Roseau banana plantations. See fishermen repairing nets and building fishing canoes at the fishing villages of Anse-la-Raye and Canaries. Continue along a winding road near the rain forest before arriving at Soufriere. Explore this colorful historical town is full of French flavor and character. See the awe-inspiring sight of the dramatic Pitons majestically rising more than 2,500 feet above the sea. Visit the Sulphur Springs, the world’s only drive-in volcano. Feel the excitement of being in the crater of a volcano and see its bubbling pools letting out puffs of steam. Take a guided tour of the lush Botanical Gardens and Diamond Mineral Waterfall. Continue to Soufriere Bay where you will board a catamaran. Enjoy a Creole lunch aboard your catamaran while cruising to the tranquil cove of Anse Cochon. Anchor and swim in the clear waters of the Caribbean Sea. Relax as you cruise past Marigot Bay and up the scenic coastline on the return to your vessel.

Learn the city’s history as you view the old churches, West Indian cottages and a former slave market. Drive past some of the city’s focal points, including the Berkeley Clock Tower and Independence Square. Continue through the outskirts of the capital into the resort area of Frigate Bay. Have two hours at the beach to enjoy swimming, sunbathing or beach combing. Try – if you like -- the local beer, drinks and snacks at bars along the beach, at your expense.
