Our Wedding

Thank you for visiting our Wedding Website! This is very exciting for both of us and we know that the next year will fly by! We've set the date with Carnival for April 9th of 2011 and secured several rooms for our group. Rick and I both hope you are able to join us on our Wedding Cruise but if you are unable to get away for 5 days we understand. All I need for "non sailing" guest to be able to get onto the ship is your full legal name as it is written on your drivers license along with you date of birth. Everyone, weather sailing or not, must join our group at the Port of Tampa by 10 am in order to pass customs, security inspections and to obtain priority boarding. Dress comfortably because it may take until noon to actually be allowed aboard the ship. Neither Rick or I have ever been on a cruise so we are not sure what to expect of this experience but we look forward to sharing it with you. I know it is a whole year away but the sooner you secure your cabin with Carnival the better which is why I am trying to get the word out to everyone now.

Travel Arrangements

I am working with a hotel one mile from the Port of Tampa to arrange group rates for friends and family coming in from out of town. The hotel is also willing to allow sailing guests of the hotel to park their cars there for no additional charges. They will be shuttling us to and from the port. Stay tuned for details...

A Special Message From Us

There has been some confusion as to what our "Wedding Registry" is and does for us and I'd like to help answer some of those questions.

First, it is a gift registry. Just as if Rick and I were to register at Macy's or Bed Bath & Beyond. It allows you the opportunity to select a gift for us. It is in no way required for you to attend the wedding. It allows you to contribute to room upgrades for us or for the extremely expensive photography packages. Accepting gifts on our wedding day will be difficult since everything you bring aboard the ship has to pass custom inspections getting on and getting off the ship. Since Rick and I have been together for going on five years we don't need anything for the house.

Second, Carnival does not take any portion of the gift you give to us. They are, of course, hoping that the majority of the gifts are used aboard their ship and honestly that is our main intention, though any gift "unused" aboard will be returned to us before we get off the ship.

Finally, by purchasing a "gift" for us you are not accepting or declining our invitation. An online evite will be posted where you will be able to respond to our invitation and I hope to get out Save the Date information soon as well. Please click on the "registry" link above to view our registry and if you have any further questions you can always call me or email me at smitdawgg@hotmail.com.

Love,
Corrie and Rick
