Steve & I met while BMX Racing. As we got more involved in BMX we would find ourselves at the race tracks 3 to 4 nights a week and then on long weekends where the races were. By the second year of racing Brodie discovered Steve and starting sitting with him. When I would loose him I would go and look for him by Steve's things. Eventually I stopped carrying my chairs to the track and I would share Steve's when he was off racing, then I would make sure that I watched him race and we would talk about each race. At the year end banquet, Steve came up to and to say hi and I remember asking him if he was just getting here. He said, No I have been sitting behind you watching.
Being Blonde, it took me a few days to realize what he said. So I wrote him a letter asking him to come over for the long weekend. I asked him if he wanted to see if we would like to become more than friends, if not then he could just ignore the letter and we could continue to be friends at the track.
I took the letter to work with me the day after writing it. I was nervous and wasn't sure that I would mail it and one of theladies that I worked with took it and mailed it for me. #days after the letter was mailed Steve called. When his number showed up on call display I began tp second guess what I had done. I answered the phone and we made arrangements for him and Kyle to come up to my house in Port Alberni for the long weekend. The rest as they say is history.
We dated for 5 years. On December 24th 2007 at 11:50pm Steve asked me to marry him. We were sitting on the couch, ironically enough Brodie was spending the night for Christmas.
The Wedidng starts at 3:30pm on the grounds of the German Hall. The ceremony will be outside. Dress for the weather. If it rains we will put up canopies and tarpos to protect all our guests from the weather.
