Arlen and I met at the Louisiana Superdome on November 7, 1999. I know that he would say that I came on to him, but I insist that he was the one that asked me for my phone number first. I feel the special thing about our relationship is that we were true friends for 6 months before we actually decided to date each other. We have now been together for almost 8 years. I am extremely happy to report that during that time, we have never broken up and have stayed close to each other's sides. We are each others rocks and biggest fans. We are a couple who tries to have fun and enjoy life each day. It would be entirely too long to write down our whole story. However, I can state that I believe that the foundation of our relation is prayer and remembering to never go to bed angry. In fact, I would like to take this opportunity to thank that complete stranger in Rickshaws Chinese Restaurant 8 yrs ago, who walked up to us and said " I have been married for a long time, you guys look like a nice young couple, please remember to never go to sleep angry and always talk about it". I don’t think that stranger will ever know how strongly Arlen and I hold on to those words! We honestly try to never go to bed angry and now thank him for his words of wisdom.
Our wedding will be held October 4, 2008 at 1:00 pm. It will be held on a Carnival Cruise Ship in Galveston TX. The colors are Champagne and Ivory. Guest do not have to go on the Cruise to attend the wedding. The wedding will take place, while the boat is docked. Guest should feel free to leave when the reception is over. However, there are still cabins available for the cruise. We are extremely excited and look forward to seeing you there.
We will have two receptions. The first will be held October 4, on the Carnival Ship immediately following the Ceremony in Galveston TX. The second reception will be a New Orleans theme Celebration held November 28, 2008 at 9:00 p.m in Algiers LA. Invitations will be sent out shortly.
We would like to thank you so much for being a part of our special day. We would also like to say thanks to everyone for all of the well wishes and prayers that have been sent our way. We are so grateful for the love and support that we have been shown from so many people though the years. There are just too many to name.
