Jill was already working at Wal-Mart in Cicero, NY, as a third-shift cashier. Justin had just started working there as well. However, he was working in the Frozen Foods section, also overnight. Justin seemed to prefer to cash out at Jill's register whenever he could, though he didn't think Jill ever noticed his interest. Eventually, they became good friends.
Justin was there for Jill in her time of need when she got a flat tire on the way to Dunkin' Donuts one night during lunch. This seemed to bring them even closer, though he still didn't believe his feelings were reciprocated. Justin even played the part of the proverbial shoulder to cry on during her divorce. Eventually, they developed a relationship that was more than just a friendship. Justin moved in with Jill only a day before her thirty-second birthday, and they have been deleriously happy ever since.
Justin had been shopping around for a ring, unbeknownst to Jill. After several months of searching, he found what he had been searching for; a ring to symbolize his love for his soon-to-be wife. Jill had transferred to the Wal-Mart in Leray, NY; while Justin was still working in Cicero. One day, while the kids were still in school and Jill was at work, Justin went to Kay Jewelers. He came home with the ring he had dreamed of, just in time to pick up the kids and head out to pick Jill up from work. While wandering through Wal-Mart in Leray, he was informed that Jill would be on her way out to break soon. As soon as she met Justin for break, he popped the question. He proposed to her while she was still at work. Leaving her speachless, and only wanting to ditch work, and come home early.
