Jimmy's sister Marie introduce Jim and Loretta in October 1982. Their first date was to be a Stanford football game at the Rose Bowl in L.A. Both Loretta and Jim were traveling to L.A. for work but Loretta got cold feet after listening to that voice in her head after a good friend told her "don't do it Loretta, don't go out with that crazy man Jim Deto". Jim the constant salesman ask her out again and their first offical date was at the Custom House in San Mateo. It was all worldwind from there as Jim proposed to Loretta 3 months later and they set a date to marry on September 10th, 1983.
Although Jim was sure he wanted to marry Loretta he began to wiggle when he discovered that the Stanford/Oklahoma game was on the same date. Jim relinguished the fact that he would miss the game but the priest who married them did not as he performed the ceremony and then skipped the reception to make it to the 1:00 p.m. kick off.
The first year of marriage brought a new home in Fremont and their first son Joshua Wayne Deto. 3 years later Ryan Stephen Deto joined the family as well as the start of their own business, D-Tech Sales. 5 years later a cancer scare was experienced by Loretta but this brought their beautiful daughter Jessica Ann Deto all the way from Guatemala home to them.
Jim and Loretta have completed a task that many married couples would find difficult to do, that is working for 21 years in their business together. Although difficult at times, it has been one of their biggest accomplishments both personally and professionally. Jim and Loretta have had many memorable times together. Some of them have been hard as life is not always easy but we have been fortunante to be loved by so many people and shared wonderful times like Christmas's at Uncle Vern's, camping with Loretta's family, houseboating and ski trips with the Anderson's and Thomas's.
We have supported and loved each other and it is hard to believe that 25 years have already gone by but we still have that crazy kind of love that will take us through the next 25 years God willing. Thank you to all who have been there for those wonderful memories and fun times.

Jim and Loretta are having a 25th wedding anniversary party at Stanford Stadium on Saturday, September 20th. As you can tell Stanford has played an important part of our time together as a couple and a family. So we thought we would put an end to the constant reminder that Jim brings up that he missed the Stanford/Oklahoma game on our wedding day. Although I can not recreate Oklahoma as the team Stanford is playing we can have one of those big tailgate parties with the tent and catered bbq that we all wished we could have while we sat with hot dogs on a weber and a bag of chips.
So a party it will be. We will have a great time with catered lunch. We have set a start time of 1:00 p.m. . Those who would like to join us after the party to watch the game will be our guest. Invitations will contain a map to Stanford Stadium. We have now been placed in the Masters Grove field. We will have wonderful shade underneath the Eucalyptus trees and we are closer to the public parkking lot so it will be a short walk from your cars.

Jim and Loretta are taking their dream trip on October 24th on a cruise to Italy, Greece and Turkey to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. Our Wedding registry is available for viewing as a link on the top of this page if you would like to see some of the excursions trips we would like to take while on our trip.

Please join us for our 25th Wedding Anniversary on September 20th at Stanford Stadium from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. The party location has now been set to be held in Masters Grove. It will offer wonderful shade underneath the Eycalyptus trees and a short walk from your car.
