Our Story
So you wanna hear our story? It's an amazing one I think:
I was working late nights at an "establishment" on St.Patrick's Day. I remember that I was a little bit bummed because I didn't get to go out and celebrate with everyone else and that night business was slow. I had only made about $80. On top of that, it was raining and gloomy. I left work in my 87 Honda and drove about a mile and my car started to konk out on me so I did the one thing I knew how to do, I put oil in it. About fifteen minutes later it started up again only to stop dead when I got to a red light. I had NO lights or power! The street light was on a side street on Woodman Avenue and when the light turned green, no one could see me sitting there in the rain. Cars started screetching and swerving to avoid hitting me..I remember throwing my hands over my head and ducking, looking to my side to see where I could run. Just then I saw lights, flashing lights of a tow truck. The driver yelled at me to stay in my car. He also said he could tow me home for $70. I was so happy to see him and to be safe. The next day he called to see if I needed help with my alternator which, is what the problem was. I had already had the car at the gas station getting fixed but he and I spoke for a while on the phone. he said he would get back to me later to check on me. He did get back to me. He came by my house that night. And the next. And the next. MAN this guy was bugging me! He would call my work to ask me if I wanted luch, dinner, a ride, a drink, etc...I actually had to tell him to call before coming over! I had been dating a few losers and Frank, the tow guy had been there for me when I needed to vent, to talk about my woes. About a month or two later we were swimming in my Moms pool, my buddy Frank and I, and I looked into his eyes and that was it. THIS was the guy I wanted! The one who adored me, made me laugh and helped me. He had become my best friend and just like in the movies, I didnt see it.
